Terms of Service

Welcome to The Times of My Life. These terms explain the agreement between you and us when you use the website at https://thetimesofmylife.com and the services on it (together, "the service").

"We," "us," and "our" mean CompanyWRX, LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company. "You" means the person using the service.

1. What the service is

The Times of My Life is a private place for families to keep their memories: photos, videos, audio recordings and oral histories, written memories, albums, stories, and events such as weddings and reunions. At an event, guests can scan a QR code and add their photos without creating an account.

The service is private by design. There is no public feed and no public discovery. You decide who sees each memory.

2. Who can use the service

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • If you are under 18, you may use the service only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
  • You may not use the service if the law forbids you from doing so.

3. Your account

  • Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and sign-in methods safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account unless it was caused by our mistake.
  • Tell us right away at bill@companywrx.com if you think someone has gotten into your account.

4. Your memories are yours

This is the heart of the service, and we are making it a binding promise, not a slogan.

  • You keep ownership of everything you upload. We do not claim ownership of your photos, videos, recordings, or writing.
  • We will never require a paid plan for you to download or export memories you uploaded. Viewing your memories, downloading originals, and exporting your data are free, always.
  • Export gives you a ZIP file with your originals, their details (metadata), your albums, and your stories.
  • Canceling a paid plan never removes your memories.

To run the service we need a limited license from you. You grant CompanyWRX, LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, display (only to the people you choose to share with), and back up your content, solely to provide the service to you. This license ends when your content is permanently deleted, except for copies that are still in the backup cycle described in our Data Export & Deletion Policy. 5. Sharing and privacy

Memories are private unless you share them. You can share with specific people, a family space, or an event. Sharing is one hop: a person you share with cannot share your memory onward.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Our Cookie Policy, AI Feature Notice, Facial Recognition & Biometric Notice, Event Guest Privacy Notice, Content Ownership page, and Data Export & Deletion Policy are part of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

Families trust this service with precious things. To keep it safe, you agree not to:

  • Upload anything illegal.
  • Upload child sexual abuse material. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as the law requires, and we will close the account.
  • Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse anyone.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to share.
  • Upload other people's private content in order to embarrass, pressure, or harass them.
  • Try to get into accounts, family spaces, or events you were not invited to.
  • Interfere with, overload, or scrape the service.

Family photos often include children. We use them only to provide the service to you, and for nothing else.

If you see something that breaks these rules, please report it in the app or email bill@companywrx.com.

7. Plans, payments, and renewals

The core of the service is free. We also offer optional paid features. Current prices are listed on our website and can change; the price shown when you buy is the price you pay for that purchase or billing period. As of this draft:

  • Premium Family — $14.99 per month or $149 per year. Adds AI features, semantic search, and more storage.
  • Family Day Pass — $9.99 for 24 hours of AI features. The 24 hours start when you press "start," not when you buy it, and are measured by our server clock in UTC.
  • Slideshow creation — $9.99 per slideshow.
  • Event packages — $29, $49, or $79.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Your card statement will show "COMPANYWRX" or "CWRX* TIMES OF MY LIFE".

Renewals. Premium Family renews automatically each month until you cancel. We will tell you the price before you subscribe, and we will give you notice before any price change applies to your subscription.

Canceling. You can cancel any time from the billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it ends. Canceling never deletes your memories. You go back to the free core, where you can still view, download, and export everything.

8. Refunds

Refunds are at our discretion, except where the law requires them.

One clear rule: a Family Day Pass that has not been started yet can be refunded. Once you press start, the 24 hours are underway and the pass is generally not refundable.

9. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence, such as answering questions about your archive, drafting stories, choosing photos for a slideshow, writing event recaps, and short photo descriptions. Please understand:

  • AI can be wrong. It may mix up names, dates, places, or people.
  • You can edit everything AI produces. You and your family are the source of truth, not the AI.
  • AI never tries to guess anyone's race, ethnicity, religion, health, emotions, political beliefs, or other sensitive traits.
  • Facial recognition is off unless a family space owner or event host turns it on after reading our biometric notice.

10. Digital legacy

You can name legacy contacts. In this version, that is a nomination only. It does not automatically transfer your account or memories to anyone. Any future way to pass an archive on will require a verified process.

11. Ending your use of the service

You can leave any time. You can delete your account from your settings. After you confirm, there is a 14-day grace period in case you change your mind. Please export first if you want a copy.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put others at risk, or where the law requires it. When we can, we will tell you why.

Even if we close your account for breaking the rules, we will give you a reasonable window to export your memories, except where the content itself is illegal or the law prevents us.

We may also stop offering the service entirely. If we do, we will give you advance notice and time to export everything.

12. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep your memories safe, including backups. But no online service is perfect. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we do not make promises beyond those written in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Please keep your own copies of memories that are irreplaceable. Our free export exists for exactly that reason.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits.
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for our gross negligence or intentional misconduct where the law does not allow it.

14. Disputes

If you have a problem, please email us first at bill@companywrx.com. Most issues can be solved with a conversation.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
  • Any lawsuit will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Mexico, and both you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
  • Small claims court is always available to you for claims that qualify.

We do not require arbitration, and you do not give up the right to go to court or join a class action by agreeing to these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can export your memories and close your account.

We will never use a change to these terms to take away your ownership of your memories or to put free export behind a paid plan.

16. Other things

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If the service is sold or reorganized, these terms, and the promises in them, go with it. These terms and the policies listed in Section 5 are the whole agreement between you and us.
