Event Guest Privacy Notice

Welcome! You are probably reading this because you scanned a QR code at a wedding, reunion, or other gathering. This notice explains, in plain words, what happens to your photos and information when you add them to an event on The Times of My Life, run by CompanyWRX, LLC.

The short version

  • No account needed. You just give your name.
  • Your photos go to the event's hosts, who keep the event archive.
  • You can see the shared gallery only if the hosts allow it, and only for a limited time.
  • You can ask the hosts, or us, to remove your photos.

What we ask for

  • Your name, so the hosts know who shared each photo.
  • Your email address or phone number — only if the hosts have chosen to ask for it. The hosts decide whether it is optional.

We do not create an account for you.

How we remember you

We save a small cookie on your device for that event. It remembers that you are the same guest, so your uploads stay linked to your name. It works only on that device and browser, and only for that event. If you clear your cookies or switch devices, you will be treated as a new guest.

Where your photos go

  • Photos you upload go to the event's hosts. The hosts own and look after the event archive.
  • The hosts can see your name and any contact information you gave.
  • Your photos are stored in private storage in the United States and shown only through short-lived secure links. They are not public, not in any public feed, and not findable by search engines.

Seeing the shared gallery

  • You can see the event's shared gallery only if the hosts allow it.
  • Guest access is available only during the guest window, which by default ends 30 days after the event. The hosts may set a different window.
  • When guest access ends, you can no longer view the gallery, but the memories themselves are not deleted. The hosts keep them.

Facial recognition

Facial recognition is off unless the event host turns it on after reading our biometric notice. If it is on, faces in event photos may be used only to suggest matches within that event's archive. It is never shared with other families or used to identify you anywhere else. You can ask to be marked "do not recognize," which deletes your face data. AI features

If the hosts use paid AI features, such as an event recap or slideshow, a small amount of information about event photos — such as captions and at most a few small thumbnails — may be sent to an outside AI provider to create it. These providers process information under their API terms, which state that API inputs are not used to train their models by default. See our AI Feature Notice.

Reporting and removing photos

  • If you see something inappropriate in an event gallery, you can report it from the gallery.
  • If you want your photos removed, ask the hosts, or email us at bill@companywrx.com. Let us know the event and which photos, and we will help.
  • If you appear in someone else's photo and want it removed, you can ask the hosts or us in the same way.

Please upload with care

By uploading, you confirm the photos are yours to share and follow our Terms of Service. Please do not upload anything illegal, hurtful, or private to someone else. Content involving the sexual abuse of children is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as the law requires.

Children at events

Children often appear in event photos. We use their photos only to provide the event archive to the hosts and permitted guests, and for nothing else.
